Earl Jeans –
160 Mercer Street NY, NY (Project Value $1,600,000)
This 5,800 s.f. Soho store is the NY flagship location of Earl Jeans, A division of Nautica Enterprises. This project includes the complete interior demolition and structural rehab of an existing Landmark building. The design team implemented the existing industrial trolley hoist and rigging system into the new design, allowing the owner to easily reconfigure the store layout by sliding the interior partitions on the overhead trolleys.
All mechanical, electrical, life safety and plumbing systems through out the store were replaced. The light fixtures, store fixtures, millwork and flooring were all custom designed to create the “Earl Jeans look”. Despite numerous unforeseen structural deficiencies and design development adjustments through out the project, all work was completed within eight (8) weeks, allowing the grand opening as scheduled.
