Carolyn Saladis, a Certified Athletic Trainer, is in the final year of completing a Master of Arts program in Coaching and Sports Administration at Montclair State University. Carolyn also works as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Montclair State, as well as here at Rehabilitation Physical Therapy Associates of Staten Island.

A native Staten Islander, Carolyn attended Moore Catholic High School, and graduated in 1996. While at Moore Catholic, Carolyn was a competitive athlete in both basketball and softball. Encouraged by a strong medical background, Carolyn became interested in sports medicine and athletic training. She even attended a summer class, taught by Mike Saunders, Head Athletic Trainer for the NY Knicks.

Carolyn chose to attend William Paterson University to pursue a degree in athletic training, as well as continue her basketball career. While at William Paterson, she successfully juggled basketball and athletic training responsibilities, graduating Magna Cum Laude in May 2000. She also received the Robert E. Smith award, which recognizes the student athlete with the highest grade point average.

In August 2000, Carolyn passed the National Athletic Trainers Certification exam in one sitting, a feat none of her classmates were able to accomplish.

Carolyn is a highly motivated, hard working individual who strives for complete success. Carolyn has strong leadership qualities and is not afraid to step up and take charge. Carolyn plans to use her leadership skills and motivation to launch a career in coaching, as her goal is to be a women’s college basketball coach.
