Lynne DiStefano, P.T.A.

Born in Bay Ridge Brooklyn December 2nd, 1976.  Moved to Eltingville, Staten Island as a toddler.  Attended Our Lady Star of the Sea grammar school followed by St. Joseph by the Sea High school. Played both softball and cheerleading throughout high school. Lynne originally became interested in Physical Therapy after having rehabilitated a knee injury in high school. She then enrolled at the College of Staten Island and then transferred to Kingsborough Community College after being accepted into the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. While in college she gained experience in the outpatient setting by working as a physical therapy aide.

While in Kingsborough, Lynne completed affiliations at Seaview Rehabilitation and Nursing Home as well as Queensboro Outpatient Facility.  She graduated in August of 2000 with honors.  She began working immediately in an orthopedic physical therapy outpatient facility where she had been an aide for five years.

In March of 2001 Lynne married Huguenot resident Peter DiStefano at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.  They currently reside in Annadale.  Lynne stays active in her parish by volunteering as a Junior Varsity Cheerleading coach for the past 6 years.

Lynne continues to learn more about the field of physical therapy through her experienced co-workers and peers.  She recently joined the Rehabilitation Associates crew in June of 2001.  She is very fascinated with sports rehabilitation and orthopedics.  Lynne depicts herself as an upbeat and positive individual who strives to make her patients feel comfortable and attain all their goals.  Together with the rest of the Rehabilitation Associates staff she looks forward to meeting and helping you through your physical therapy needs.
